Asian Business Services & Technologies Sdn Bhd — better known as ABST — was founded in 2005 with a simple but clear purpose: to help Malaysian businesses use technology effectively to grow.
For over two decades, we have worked with small and medium businesses across Malaysia — businesses that needed reliable, practical technology solutions without the enterprise price tag or the corporate runaround. Director, Technology & Strategy — ABST (2014 – Present)
With close to 30 years of experience in software development and IT project delivery, Shirish leads ABST’s technical direction and day-to-day operations. He has worked with Motorola, Nokia Siemens Networks, HCL Infosystems, and Tech Mahindra across Malaysia, the USA, and India — including as Project Manager on ePerolehan, the Malaysian Government’s landmark MSC e-Government e-Procurement system.
Before joining ABST, Shirish held senior project and program management positions at global organisations, overseeing development, resourcing, budgeting, and delivery for globally distributed teams. His most notable engagement was as Project Manager on ePerolehan — a flagship project connecting roughly 3,500 government procurement centres with 40,000 registered suppliers nationwide.
Shirish holds a Master of Technology from Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Government Engineering College, Jabalpur — both First Division with honours. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with hands-on exposure to CMM practices and Six Sigma methodologies.
